TAY YEN TU CULTURE TOURISM WEEK IN 2020
The Bac Giang People’s Committee has just issued a plan to organize the Tay Yen Tu Culture and Tourism Week in 2020. According to the plan, the program will take place from Lunar January 5-19 (i.e., January 29 to the end of December 2, 2020), with many interesting cultural and tourist activities.
With the theme “Bac Giang – the sacred land Tay Yen Tu,” the Tay Yen Tu Culture and Tourism Week 2020 is scheduled to open on January 29, 2020, at Xuong Giang Victory Monument (Bac Giang City).
The highlight of the program is the special ceremony of receiving National Monuments Ranking, Xuong Giang Victory Monument, Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival 2020, and the Inauguration of the Ha Temple in the Spiritual – Ecology Tourism Area of Tay Yen Tu (Son Dong).
In addition, there are other activities: Displaying woodblocks of Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and woodblocks of Bo Da pagoda; summarizing and awarding the photo contest “My hometown Bac Giang”, “Bac Giang tourism 2019”; Bac Giang ornamental creature contest; cultural and sports activities at Xuong Giang Festival, such as: Re-enacting the countryside market, Food festival, The Bac Giang City Chess Championship; Demonstration of calligraphy in Bac Giang; Exhibition of Truc Lam Buddhist cultural space in Tay Yen Tu.
Tay Yen Tu Culture and Tourism Week 2020 aims to introduce and promote unique and outstanding cultural values as well as tourism resources of Bac Giang province, especially Truc Lam Buddhist cultural space of Tay Yen Tu; thereby raising the awareness of all levels, sectors and people of all classes on the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage associated with tourism development.
