THE BEST PLACES TO CAMP IN VIETNAM
We only live once, so why not turn off the smartphone and experience the real “life” out there, such as riding a motorbike, crossing through thousands of roads and ocean, and camping among nature. If you feel you have been busy with work for too long and have cherished a “escape” plan, don’t miss the following locations to go camping in Vietnam.
1. Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai)
Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai) is a wonderful tourist destination to go camping in Northeast Vietnam. This place is like a picture of majestic and colorful nature impressing visitors with the spectacular passes, the extensive terraced fields changing from green to yellow when rice is ripe, and small villages imbued with national identity.
The best time to camp here is between September and November. At that time, the terraces turn yellow, and the buckwheat flowers bloom. You can camp anywhere but remember to inform the local authorities in advance.
2. Ta Xua (Son La)
Ta Xua, where the “fairies” exist, is submerged all year round in a sea of clouds. To come here, you have to conquer the spectacular path like the “dinosaur’s spine” because if you are careless, you will fall into the abyss.
The period from December to March next year is the best time for visitors to “hunt clouds” in Ta Xua. At this time, the probability of encountering the valley of clouds will be much higher than at other times of the year.
3. Suoi Vang (Lam Dong)
Suoi Vang (Lam Dong) is a familiar name with Da Lat travelers. This is also a popular “check-in” location with the image of a lonely pine tree. Although still pristine, the landscape here is nowhere to be found.
The space is very spacious and comfortable, so it is ideal for camping in the evening. The white floating clouds here will make you feel like you are lost in wonderland. Remember to bring a jacket and a thin blanket to avoid cold nighttime.
4.Cu Lao Xanh ( Green Isle, Binh Dinh)
Cu Lao Xanh (Binh Dinh) is like a “hidden gem” among the wild nature. This place attracts visitors by the quiet and peaceful beauty. The sea here is so clear that you can see the bottom. With the poetic scenery and the pristine white sand, once you set foot on the island, you will immediately immerse in the vast green space. The nature picture is harmonious with the blue sea, the pale blue sky and the green of the luxuriant trees.
You can go scuba diving, swim, barbecue on the sand or sunbathe. The ideal time to explore this place is February to June, September, October. July and August should be avoided because there are usually storms.
5. Ta Dung Lake (Dak Nong)
280 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Ta Dung Lake (Dak Nong) has the peaceful beauty and uniqueness of nearly 40 large and small islands on the quiet lake. Ta Dung Lake, a new spot for camping in Vietnam, is compared to the masterpiece “Ha Long Bay” of the Central Highlands. Ta Dung Lake is an ideal place for camping and relaxation for those who want to immerse themselves in nature and relax with cool, fresh air.
Coming here, you can take a boat to the small island in the middle of the lake for camping. If you want to enjoy the rustic feeling, bring a fishing rod to prepare a dinner of grilled fish.
